BATEP Regional Project Manager
Amy Ramirez, CEM, is the Risk Management Project Manager with the San Francisco Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI). Her portfolio includes the Threat and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (THIRA) and Stakeholder Preparedness Review (SPR) for the Bay Area UASI, the Regional Medical & Public Health Workgroup, and various regional emergency planning projects.
Before joining UASI, Amy spent 12 years working for the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management in the Division of Emergency Services. As the Lead Emergency Planner for the department, she was responsible for overseeing a team of planners in developing emergency plans for the City and County of San Francisco.
Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from San Francisco State University and is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Managers. She is the recipient of the IAEM Bravo Zulu Award for her outstanding contributions to the CEM program.
