Grants Accountant
Natalie Jew, as the Grants Accountant for the Bay Area UASI, reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Her responsibilities include developing and coordinating the application of new and revised accounting policies and procedures related to the UASI, analyzing operational needs related to accounting and financially oriented computer systems, and supervising the implementation of these systems to achieve and maintain grant compliance. She also oversees compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other grant provisions, maintains regular contact with City and County of San Francisco departmental staffs and managers, and assists in coordinating grant sub-recipient agencies to achieve program goals. Additionally, Natalie evaluates grant accounting work for full compliance with grant requirements. Her background includes working for various City Departments, such as the Department of Public Health, Department of Building Inspection, and San Francisco International Airport. Natalie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her leisure time, Natalie enjoys long walks with her dog and beach travel.
